Tuesday afternoon, January 12th, the worst earthquake in 200 years struck less than ten miles from the Caribbean city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This disaster was brought to the attention of the members of Student Councils on the South Campus. These students expressed the desire to help the people of Haiti. The Student Council members organized a collection drive for Haiti. The combined efforts of Hawthorn Middle South, Aspen, Elementary South and the Goddard Preschool are pleased to announce that their students raised $6,742.54 for Haiti Relief. We thank all those who supported their efforts for Haiti.
