We started a unit on the sun, moon, and earth! Today we showed the 1st grade students Google Earth. They enjoyed seeing pictures of Earth, Aspen Elementary, various tourist attractions, and several countries around the world. This is a great way to incorporate technology in science!

Just as a reminder: Only allow your children to search Google Earth when you are assisting them. I want to emphasize the importance of internet safety. Thank you.

It's great to be back in the classroom with my students! We are back in the swing of things after the five day break.

We have had a busy week with the holiday and visiting Townline to see the sand mandala! The students have enjoyed this weeks experiences and I'm sure have many stories to share. I will be sending several things home with your child on Friday, October 3rd. However, I will not be sending a classroom newsletter home until Friday, October 17th.
