Aspen Elementary School

Hi Everyone,
We had a wonderful and busy time at our NAEYC conference. We learned many interesting and new things, listened to very knowledgeable presenters, and met other educators from all over the world. What a great experience!!! It was great to get back to the children.
November is a very short month, and we will be focusing on owls and pigs. We will be reading various versions of The 3 Little Pigs and looking for similarities and differences in the books. The children enjoy hearing the different stories.

Hi Everyone,

Autumn is upon us, and what a beautiful fall day we had for the zoo!!! I would like to give a BIG "THANK YOU" to everyone joined us on our trip to Lincoln Park Zoo. The children's excitement emanated around us throughout the day!!! The thrills of seeing animals, friends, and watching parents develop new friendships makes this a favorite field trip.

Well, as the weather has been changing, so have the children. It has been amazing to observe the children become more confident, and comfortable with us in a month. They have become familiar with our routines in class. We are completing the zoo theme, and will be moving onto fall, and bats.
