11.19.08 Parent Letter
Hello Everyone,
I will not be completing weekly folders this week. I have been working hard on the new report cards and preparation for conferences next week. I will send a note or an e-mail on Wednesday letting you know if your child has late/missing work for the last week. For your information, if work is completed at home, but left there or not turned in on time, it is late. I do my best to keep them in at recess to complete their late work or turn it in so that we do not interrupt our instruction time.
Thank you for checking assignment notebooks and weekly folders, and reviewing work with your child. It is so important for us all to be supporting the children.
The students and I are so excited to have a Promethean board and other technology coming to our classroom! Installation began today, and is scheduled to be completed for our use after Thanksgiving break. I attended training today, and we will be able to do some amazing work with the board.
Kindergarten Corner - November/December 2008
Conferences are quickly approaching. Please keep in the mind the following things:
•Kindergarten conferences are 15 minutes each. We have a full schedule so please be on time.
•This is a Parent/Teacher Conference. Please do not bring your child with you to the conference.
•Please fill out the sheet that was sent home and have your child return it to school by Wednesday, November 19th.
Baby Brocks is expected to arrive around December 10th. I will continue to work until Baby Brocks arrives. During my maternity leave, Mrs. Verbeten will be taking my place. I will not be checking/responding to emails or phone calls during my maternity leave. Contact information for Mrs. Verbeten is listed below.
